

ATLANTIC OCEAN June, 28, 2011
Capt. Marcus A. Hitchcock, commanding officer of the USS Dwight D. Eisenhower (IKE) (CVN 69) performs an arrested landing on the first day of flight operations in the Atlantic Ocean June 28.
This is Capt. Hitchcock's first landing as Eisenhower's commanding officer. IKE is currently conducting carrier qualifications and flight deck certifications, marking the beginning of its work up cycle in preparation for its next deployment (U.S. Navy photo by Mass Communication Specialist Second Class Christopher A.
