Cogito Ergo Sum...
I am rather perplexed to think that some of my kind readers out there actually think that I am a paid blogger.Perhaps, my humble blog space is really just a small insignificant dose of reality against a lingering fantasy of some, but to actually think that I am writing for a certain politician as well; well thank you for the thoughts, but rest assured that I am on nobody’s pay roll. Probably a few politicians should be on my payroll, but as is, they may be out cold soon enough anyway, so I would just rather not pay anyone at this political junction of our dogmatic animation phase. Nevertheless, I am greatly humored at the thoughts off me being a paid blogger. LOL!I am a simple person, I do not need much to upkeep my presence and suffice I exist with the rezeki Allah has blessed me with; alhamdullilah. But surely, it is a small world some of us must be living in, and a small world that is also filled with too many self reflecting mirrors I might add. So please, perish the thoughts already and ignore my point of views if it’s too thorny for you. But I shall continue to write my point of view here anyway whether it is liked or otherwise, and I am sorry if you don’t; but for exercising my own rights to speak my mind politely, I must never apologize for to anyone at all as we know that we cannot please everyone but we can surely do what is right. The channels of open communiqué of accepted wisdom and beliefs are one of the supreme treasures of the rights of every man and woman; it has served modern civilizations as one of the founding pillars of good democracy and governance. Every citizen, voter, may accordingly express, write, blog and print with freedom their views and says on issues that’s affecting them; but they shall also be held fully responsible for such abuses of this freedom as shall be defined by our sets of law. It simply means that we should adhere to proper etiquettes and politeness even when we are face to face here on line, of the cyber side of reality.Assuming good faith is a fundamental principle to the freedom of expressions anywhere. It is the assumption that opinions are made in good faith. But along this line, it shall come to a point whereby to effectively exercise one’s freedom of speech shall also means that it does not require for one to continue assuming good faith in the presence of strong contrary evidence. Frankly speaking, assuming good faith does not prohibit discussion and criticism of the subject in question and assuming good faith should not turn anyone of us into nodding Japanese wooden dolls either. Rather, one should not attribute the actions of being criticized to an act of malice unless off course, there is specific evidence of malice that’s taking place. When disagreement occurs, try to the best of your sincere ability to explain and resolve the dispute, not exacerbate the conflict. Give others some room for the opportunity to reply in kind and exercise their own freedom of speech rights just as you are too.Generally, when doubt has been cast on good faith, please continue to assume good faith yourself where and when you still can. Be civil and follow dispute resolution processes, rather than attacking or warring with those you find to be against you. That is what’s needed more in our Malaysian blogosphere.“Think for yourselves and let others enjoy the privilege to do so, too.” - Voltaire.
